Cadair View Lodge log cabins are set on the mountainside at Bronaber, near to Trawsfynydd in Gwynedd.  They are within the Snowdonia National Park and back onto the Coed y Brenin mountain biking trails.  Most of the cabins have views over the surrounding mountains.  This self-catering accommodation provides the ideal base for families, groups and individuals to enjoy and explore all that the area has to offer.  The cabins are close to a good road network (a short drive off the A470) and are less than 2 hours drive from Liverpool, Manchester, Shrewsbury, etc.   You will find us on the map approximately 12 miles north of Dolgellau, about 2 miles south of Trawsfynydd and about 19 miles west of Bala.

Our location is especially suited for mountain biking, white water rafting and canoeing,  walking, cycling, fishing and pony trekking.

The cabins are all located within the Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, a quiet and peaceful location and are at most 5 minutes walk apart.

The nearest train station is Blaenau Ffestiniog which is approximately 8 miles away.  From here it is possible to get a trains to the rest of the UK via Llandudno.  London Euston to Blaenau Ffestiniog can be as little as 4 hours.  Check National Rail Journey Planner

The nearest commercial airports are Anglesey AirportLiverpool John Lennon and Manchester airports.  These are all around 2 hours drive away.  We can arrange transport for guests to and from all airports if required.

The ferry terminal at Holyhead is approximately 2 hours drive away.  Both Stena and Irish Ferries operate from here.  We can arrange transport by taxi from the ferry for foot passengers or it is possible to get the train from Holyhead to Blaenau Ffestiniog via Llandudno.

If you are not familiar with this area take a few minutes to explore the places to visit link. We are spoilt with fantastic scenery right on our doorstep and this link illustrates this with spectacular pictures. Many of our visitors return simply to relax and enjoy the sheer tranquillity of our location.
