Newsletter Summer 2006WelcomeAs usual things have been moving quite quickly here at Cadair View Lodge. We've taken on yet more cabins, we've revamped the website and more and more of you have been visiting us! All of this has been keeping Ray, the Team and I very busy. There's been some new developments in the area too. The new Coed y Brenin visitor centre will be opening very soon along with its revamped trails and we've got ospreys back nesting again. If you have any questions or information that you want to add to our site you can contact us through the Contact Us page on the site. We hope to be seeing lots of new and familiar faces over the Summer months. Have a great Summer wherever you spend it. Sue and Ray New CabinsWe've taken on 2 new cabins so far this year and there are several more on the horizon. Tan yr Ffrydd is set on the northern side of the village. It faces out onto open grazing land and has views towards Trawsfynydd and the northern Rhinogs. It's an ideal cabin for outdoor enthusiasts as it has its own spinner and tumble drier - great for those of you who tend to get a little damp. Tan yr Ffrydd allows dogs to stay. In recent weeks there's been blue tits nesting in the "letter box" outside the cabin. We knew they were there because of the racket they made whenever we walked past! Encil Cadair has joined Encil Rhinogau to give us a pair of "retreats" - encil being the Welsh for retreat! Encil Cadair is on the south west edge of the village and is in a raised position facing onto woodland. It has superb views across to the Rhinogs and down the valley towards Cadair Idris. This cabin has a wonderful deck area - ideal for that well deserved G&T (or cup of tea!) after an adventurous day. The cabin also has lots of feathered visitors to its many bird feeders. This cabin allows dogs and is in a very quiet part of the village - it's also the furthest away from the pub!
