The location is superb with dramatic sunsets and clear starry nights. Whilst none of the log cabins have log fires most of them do have balconies, fairy lit verandas and views to die for. At Christmas time the outside of most cabins are lit with Christmas lights. In 2005 we had 6 bookings which ended in proposals... some more spontaneous than others "During our Christmas stay I proposed to Kelly. It was the perfect setting and a total surprise to Kelly but luckily for me she said YES!! We had a lovely meal in Portmeirion on the Friday night and the cabin looked so beautiful with the Christmas lights when we got back I got down on 1 knee and 'Popped the question'!!! Obviously we have nothing but happy memories of our time at Cadair View lodges." We know of some excellent, romantic and unusual places for marriage proposals.
