On Sunday 10th April 2005, in partnership with Gareth Robinson, editor MtB Britain (www.mtbbritain.co.uk), and support from MtB UK (www.mtbuk.co.uk) we held a guided ride of the Green Heifer. This ride is an exhilarating but demanding ride and is essentially an extended version of the infamous 'Pink Heifer' which is described by MtB Britain as the " ...The Uk's finest downhill ride....". Without doubt it is the best ride at Coed y Brenin. Setting off at 11:00am 14 riders joined us for this ride which took around 6 1/2 hours to complete the 25.85 miles (which took in ascents of 3976 feet). Everyone found the ride exhilarating and there were no injuries !! 'Slipper Dipper' remained unconquered on the return leg (which kills us every time we do it). These are some of the comments from the riders: "Excellent ride...." "Top day out....." "Thanks for the top ride yesterday...." "That was some ride..." "Top weekend...." We thank everyone who joined us for the ride making it a memorable day. Check our web-site regularly and look out for our future guided rides. |
