Llys Ednowain As a Fishing Base

Trawsfynydd Lake (Llyn Trawsfynydd) covers an area of approx. 1,200 acres and is estimated to be around 5 miles long.  The lake has a stock of natural wild brown trout and is stocked regularly with good quality rainbows. There is also a quantity of coarse fish, the main stock being Perch, with a few Rudd and Pike.  The Lake is regularly the venue for International competitions.  Of course there are more fishing venues (including sea) locally.  Ask us about them.

Llys Ednowain is surrounded by stunning scenery which draws visitor outdoors.  Locally we have walks to suit all abilities.  The accommodation is on the route of The Snowdonia Way and The Wales Way and not very far from The Slate Trail too - all long distance paths.

The Rhinogydd, Moelwyn and Arenig mountains are all on our doorstep too.  The Rhinogydd being a favourite with Duke of Edinburgh groups.

Llys Ednowain For Cycling Clubs

Llys Ednowain is the ideal base for a road cycling break.  Lots of varied scenery locally, sweeping bends, spectacular downhills plus the odd uphill *winks*.

The Brailsford Way passes just down the road from the accommodation and we can suggest plenty of 50 - 80 mile circular routes which would give a good day's riding with suggestions of places, that welcome cyclists, to stop along the way.

The accommodation has lockable bike storage, parking for vans (both covered by CCTV), washing machine, tumble dryer, drying room and plenty of hot water for showers.

Stay at Llys Ednowain in Snowdonia to find peace, to spark creativity or just to relax.  The accommodation is included in the Snowdonia Dark Sky Reserve.  Famous poet Hedd Wyn was born and lived in the Village and took his inspiration from the local mountains and countryside.

We can help guests to find local yoga instructors, mindfulness coaches, massage therapists or have a forest bathing experience.

Watch birds, walk through local forests, hike on deserted mountains, take sheep or llamas for a walk around our lake or just immerse yourself at the Heart of a Welsh speaking village.
