To the adrenalin junkies out there the activity is not extreme enough until the blood is pumping behind their eyes and they fear that they may not see tomorrow but for others, me included, adventure takes my breath away but without me getting out of breath.

Did you know that Bear Grylls has a private island just up the coast from us? You probably won't get to meet the man himself but the Bear Grylls Survival Academy offer half day "taster" courses near to Criccieth.
Canoeing, Kayaking + White Water Rafting in Snowdonia
Mountains and white water often go together. Our area is no exception and we have the National White Water Centre (Canolfan Tryweryn) almost on our doorstep. The river Tryweryn is a dam released river and so there is almost always water to paddle on. The Centre offers lots of different experiences from family rafting safaris to full blown Orca Adventures.
Canyoning, Coasteering, Gorge Walking and Gorge Scrambling In Snowdonia
All of these activities involve donning a wetsuit, helmet and buoyancy aid then launching yourself down a river, over a waterfall or off a cliff into the sea. Different locations offer different challenges. Yes, you read that correctly! It's the sport of doing your ironing in the most extreme places. Take a look at some images HERE Unfortunately no local activity providers offer this and you will need to bring your own equipment.
High Ropes Courses in Snowdonia
Although a little further than we usually recommend our guests travel, Adventure Paintball may be a good place to stop on your route to us or from us, especially if you are coming from the Liverpool or Manchester (or North Wales) directions. They have a wide range of scenarios to play and there are facilities for non-playing members of the group too (Check out Adventure Trail on the same site for children).
