What's Included In Our Price

When the business began we were aiming our services at mountain bikers coming to ride the Coed y Brenin trails.  We knew that their priority was their riding so we thought that a Welcome Pack would help them.  Containing the essentials such as loo roll and provisions so that they could get up in the morning, make a drink, eat a piece of toast and get out the door.

The welcome pack has evolved a little but has the same aim... we provide the basics that are needed on arrival (and possibly for a weekend).

With the challenges that Covid-19 have brought us it has had to evolve again.  In making our guests' safety our top priority we realised that our Welcome Pack and the household items that we provide were likely to be touched by several people along their journey.  So our challenge was to reduce this but to still give our guests this much loved service.

Guests are currently receiving a bigger welcome pack box.  This will contain:

  • tea bags (Yorkshire tea)

  • instant coffee sticks (usually Nescafe Original)

  • sachets of sugar

  • loo rolls

  • kitchen towel

  • a bin bag

  • a bottle of washing-up liquid

  • a washing-up sponge

  • a washing-up cloth

  • a bottle of loo cleaner

  • soap for washing hands

The contents of the box will have been packed and sealed at Cadair View Lodge HQ, by somebody wearing gloves, a lot more than 72 hours before you receive it.  These things are yours for your stay.  Please take anything that is left at the end of the stay home with you (or dispose of it in the refuse area if you don't require it).

With the relaxing of Covid restrictions we will return to a more "normal" welcome pack.  Which will have very similar items except that the washing-up liquid and loo cleaner will be left in the cabin between guests (don't worry there will be plenty).  It is your choice whether you use those items or bring your own.  Our welcome pack will return to being supplied in paper sacks which are easier to re-cycle.

What about the fresh items?

Everybody who comes to stay will receive a voucher to be used at Siop Glyndwr in Trawsfynydd village.  The value should be enough to cover bread, milk, spread and biscuits or welsh cakes.  It is up to you how you spend it.  If you would rather bring your own shopping and put the voucher towards a bottle of gin (of which they have a good choice) that is up to you.  Again, this means that there are fewer people handling your welcome pack items (and those who would like lactose free / vegan / gluten free can have the items that they choose).  The shop is open 8am to 8pm most days.  Although small, Iwan the owner is happy to order things in advance of your arrival (with notice) and offers a "click and collect" type service.  We get great reports back from guests who buy the steak pies and burgers that are supplied daily to the shop by T.J. Roberts, an award winning butcher in Bala.

Of course, all electricity for heating, lighting, cooking and hot water is provided.

We now also include bed linen in our price (not as a compulsory added extra).  We do not include linen for the sofa beds unless requested to do so.

Our guests also receive discounts with several local businesses and activity providers.  See Deals HERE

We charge extra for dogs to stay - £5 per dog per night with a maximum of 2 dogs.  Dogs receive their own welcome pack.

At the moment we are unable to provide late stays, romance packs, flowers, chocolates, etc.  Sorry!
