Covid-19 and Cadair View Lodge Ltd

** Amended 1st March 2022 **

All of our accommodation is now open.

The only restriction is on Llys Ednowain, our group accommodation.  For the time being we are only accepting 1 group in the accommodation at a time.  That group can be between 4 and 20 guests.

We are continuing to work hard to make sure that our guests are safe during their stays and that our community is put at as little risk as possible.

Measures we have taken include:

  • ensuring that the professional cleaning company that we use are acting in line with the current guidelines to make sure that our accommodation is as safe as it can be for our guests

  • educating ourselves by taking an Infection Prevention + Control course (with a module specifically on Covid-19)

  • reviewing the way that our welcome packs are provided in our log cabins (don't worry... we'll still have them)

  • reviewing our procedures and those of the team that we work with

  • and anything else that comes to light as things are constantly changing

We are currently charging just a £50 deposit to book stays in our log cabins and £10 per person per night in our group accommodation.  The balance for all stays is due 4 wees before arrival.

As of 1st March 2022 we have changed our cancellation policy as follows:

  • if we can't accept guests due to a Government enforced lock down (local or national) we will re-arrange your stay (at no extra cost) or refund the money that you have paid for your stay

  • if you, or a member of your party tests positive for Covid-19 meaning that your stay can't go ahead, there is no refund as this eventuality should be covered by your travel insurance

Our standard cancellation policy applies to all other scenarios.  We strongly advise everybody to take out a travel insurance policy to cover their stay.  It is really quite inexpensive but will give peace of mind.

We are still doing everything that we can to keep everybody as safe as possible whilst still giving a warm welcome and the great stay that we have a reputation for providing.  Get in touch if you have any questions.

Please remember that the rules are often different in Wales.  Please check out the current guidelines.

Stay safe and we'll see you all soon.

Whether you (or we) agree with it, it seems that the Government believe that the Covid restrictions should be scaled back from 31st March 2022. We've been told by Visit Wales to remove all "We're Good To Go" branding.
Although we are slowly returning to normal, removing the "We're Good To Go" logos doesn't mean that we're relaxing cleaning standards or taking risks.  But it does mean that the Welsh Government expects everybody to take responsibility for their own safety, to wash their hands regularly, wear a mask in crowded places and to self isolate if ill.  It also means that our guests should take out travel insurance to cover them contracting Covid-19 (or any other illness) that means they have to cancel their stay with us.
