Visit a Rainforest!
We know that very often it's not the price of accommodation that makes a holiday un-affordable but more what will be spent during the holiday. This is especially true when there are children who need entertaining or who are being tempted by ice creams, attractions and gift shops. The words "rain forest" and "Snowdonia" may not at first glance to have much in common BUT we do have a Celtic rain forest almost on our door step.
It might not be quite as hot and steamy as the Amazon but it is all the same a rain forest. The area extends from the shores of Llyn Trawsfynydd down to the Vale of Ffestiniog and is full of interesting plants and wildlife plus places of historical interest and some great views.
